CHEMUK Expo 2026: Meet Nixon Flowmeters on Stand F14

Most flow meter specification happens by email. A datasheet goes out, a question comes back, a revised model is quoted, and a decision is reached weeks later. It works, but it is a slow way to learn whether a meter is actually right for the job.

CHEMUK Expo 2026 offers a better alternative for a few days in mid-May. The UK's leading chemical and process industry exhibition brings specifiers, plant engineers, buyers and manufacturers together at the NEC Birmingham, and Nixon Flowmeters will be there alongside our Spanish manufacturing partner, Tecfluid, on Stand F14.

This short preview sets out what visitors will find on the stand, who is available to talk to, and how to get the most out of a visit if flow measurement is on your agenda.

CHEMUK Expo 2026 in Brief

CHEMUK is the UK's largest gathering for the chemical, process and related manufacturing industries. The 2026 edition takes place in mid-May at the NEC Birmingham, and entry is free for qualifying trade visitors. The audience spans chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, water and wastewater, food and beverage, energy, and specialty and fine chemicals. If your work involves specifying or maintaining process instrumentation in any of those sectors, it is an efficient two-day round trip.

Floor plans and a full exhibitor list are published on the official CHEMUK Expo website as the event draws closer.

What You Will Find on Stand F14

Stand F14 is a joint presence: Nixon and Tecfluid on the same floor space, with samples and literature from across our combined range.

Expect to see:

  • Sample meters from our turbine, electromagnetic, ultrasonic and variable area ranges
  • The Nixon NT industrial turbine family, which has been in UK service for over four decades
  • The new NTG gas turbine meter: the same external body as the NT, redesigned internally for gas duties
  • Tecfluid's sanitary and industrial meters, including models specified regularly into food and beverage and chemical process applications
  • Current converters, specialist meters, and application literature covering water utilities, HVAC, chemical processing and food and beverage

Being able to see, hold and compare different meter technologies on one stand is, in our experience, the quickest way to shortcut a long email chain.

Who to Meet, and What You Can Get Done

David Nixon (Owner) and Mark Stone (General Manager) will both be on the stand for the duration of the show. Engineers from Tecfluid will also be present to discuss their ranges in detail. Visitors talk to the people who specify these meters every working day, not to a hired stand team.

A few examples of what a twenty-minute conversation can achieve:

  • Bring a specification or a problem. We will walk through meter options with you on the spot, including honest feedback on where a particular technology may not be the best fit for the application.
  • Compare technologies side by side. Turbine, magnetic and ultrasonic meters on a single stand makes the differences obvious in a way a datasheet never does.
  • Discuss a retrofit or an upgrade. Nixon have been specifying flow meters in the UK since 1982; chances are we have seen the installation scenario before.
  • Explore Tecfluid's range in person. Nixon are Tecfluid's UK gateway, and CHEMUK is one of the few times in the year their engineers are on UK soil.

Why a Visit Is Worth the Hour

Paper specification has its place, but flow measurement is full of application-specific subtleties: straight-run requirements, fluid characteristics, accuracy at part-load, serviceability in the field. Standing in front of the meter and asking the engineer who sells it tends to surface those subtleties far faster than a datasheet review. That is the real value of CHEMUK for a specifier: shortening a long decision.

Finding the Stand and Booking a Time

Stand F14 will be signposted on the CHEMUK floor plan, published by the organisers closer to the event. Walk-ups are welcome throughout the show.

If you would prefer a dedicated slot, a short email in advance means the right person is available when you arrive, and any specific sample meters you would like to see can be on the stand. Please mention the application you have in mind and roughly when you plan to visit.

Conclusion

CHEMUK Expo 2026 is one of the few points in the year when UK flow specifiers, a dedicated flow meter business, and a European manufacturer are in the same room at the same time. If flow measurement is part of a project on your desk, an hour at Stand F14 is a practical way to compress weeks of back-and-forth into a single conversation.

Email the Nixon team a couple of lines about the application you have in mind and we will have the right meters, and the right person, ready on the stand when you arrive. Walk-ups are welcome too: Stand F14, CHEMUK Expo 2026, NEC Birmingham, mid-May.
